How I Could’ve Fast-Tracked My Thumbnail Journey⚡⏰
What’s Really Special About Thumbnails?
Hey,
When I first started creating thumbnails, I wasn’t confident they offer real value for content creators.
I thought they were mostly there to make videos look appealing and maybe grab a few extra clicks.
Looking back, this was a mistake that slowed my progress.
My perspective on thumbnails was off, and I didn’t take it as a real career.
So I kept prioritizing other design work like web design and logos.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for where I am now, but I could have been further along if I’d realized what I’m about to share with you.
In the past years, I worked with channels that barely got 5k views per video to reaching +100k views/video without changing anything on their content or using sneaky techniques like clickbait.
Instead, they simply invested in catchy and quality thumbnails that attract viewers.
Which made me later discover what a click-through rate (CTR) is. (I really didn’t know about it at that time😅)
I noticed that my thumbnails for these YouTube channels really made hundreds of thousands click on them which led to better visibility that pushes the algorithms to recommend the video to more and more viewers.

You see, we as humans are very curious and we hate the unknown.
The second we get confused about something we ignore it.
And here comes the thumbnail job, it conducts the video idea in a clear, relevant way that grabs attention and creates intrigue.
You can call it visual storytelling and it is what sets apart thumbnail artists boosting their client demand, fees, and results.
And there’s no secret sauce to improve, you just have to put the reps in.
That’s when I had my realization: thumbnails aren’t just simple images, instead, they create a whole system designed for growth to these creators🙃!
