The Number #1 Mistake That Stops Your Thumbnails From Performing❌📉

You can master thumbnail creation but still fall into this mistake.

Hey,

Looking back just a year ago, my thumbnails weren’t performing for my clients as well as now.

When nothing seemed to change, because I could share my work from a year ago and some from now and you wouldn’t tell which was which.

So it’s not a skill problem as those old thumbnails still look good.

But they were missing something that made the difference.

I’m talking about going from 2.85% to a 17.4% CTR difference.

For me, once I realized it was a game changer.

I started increasing my rates significantly, as I’m selling my clients on performance not just the thumbnail.

Without the headaches of offering extra revisions or multiple versions.

Just straight extra cash for literally the same work.

All done by including a hook in my thumbnails.

If you don’t know what a hook is, basically it’s something that takes people’s attention and makes them invested in your material to know more.

It can come in different forms like a title, image, first 7 seconds of a video… But we focusing on the image one today.

Combining hooks with catchy thumbnails grabs the viewer by their eyeballs and makes them feel an urge to click on the video.

To illustrate things even more, here’s an example from one of my thumbnails:

Example

At first when you see this, two things come to mind.

a) $1000 for a lemonade is a lot of money.

b) I wonder what made this guy buy it?

Now without even the need for the title, you got very interested in the video.

It has that element that makes the viewer go “What’s going on here?”

As I’m giving them reasons to make the video worth watching.

And this explains the CTR difference I was talking about earlier.

I’m glad I learned this earlier in my career and now I’m able to share it with you so you don’t make the same mistake.

That’s it for today.

Hamza.
